In January 2025, I decided that, in addition to my work with Southend, it was time I branched out and attempt to tackle a bigger market; the Premier League. Instantly, I found an issue. How do you stand out in an extremely crowded market? That’s when I had the idea of creating an account purely based on the West Ham United Academy. Since its creation, I have built the account from scratch to 1850+ followers on Instagram, capitalising on trends and building an engaged follow base. It has also opened up opportunities such as working with The West Ham Way and getting in regular contact with a number of players.
